HIGHLIGHTS OF CHAPTER ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS
- SEMINARS: Letters of Credit/Financing, e-commerce, documentation. This year we co-sponsored with the Dept. of Commerce, District Export Council seminars on changing INCO terms.
- TOURS: One of our chapter’s popular annual events is a tour of on-site facilities. Our tours have included: the main distribution center for UPS, Burlington Express, Federal Express, and The San Diego Port facilities and cold storage warehouse. OWIT-San Diego Chapter also offers annual maquiladora tours to companies in Tijuana, Mexico.

- In October, 2000, we hosted the 11TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE (OWIT), playing host for 30 chapters of our organization throughout the world. We had attendees from as far away as Switzerland and Uganda.

- OWIT-SDSU AFFILIATE. This active organization on the San Diego State University Campus gives OWIT members an opportunity to mentor up-and-coming international trade professionals and also provides interns and future employees. This is the only student affiliate in the OWIT organization. All OWIT-SDSU Affiliate members speak at least two languages.
